Author, co-author, or editor of 30 academic books, including the monographs Tourist Attractions and Phenomenon, Typology, Research Methods, as well as numerous textbooks such as Poland: Geography of Tourist Attractions, Tourist Regions: Theoretical Foundations and Case Studies, and Sightseeing: Theory and Methodology. Author of over 250 scientific articles published in national and international journals (including Tourism Review, Sustainability, Museum Management and Curatorship, and Journal of Tourism and Recreation Research) and book chapters in monographs.
Member of the editorial board of the journal Folia Turistica and president of the Association of Tourism Experts. Member of the Sectoral Skills Council for Tourism. A passionate traveler and licensed tour leader, he has visited 130 countries on all continents.
He specializes in research on tourist attractions and regional aspects of tourism geography, with a particular focus on sustainable development and inclusive tourism. His current research includes the accessibility of protected areas for tourism, the availability of attractions for people with disabilities, and the attitudes of tourism entrepreneurs, residents, and tourists toward sustainable tourism development. He also conducts research on issues related to tourism workforce education, especially in the training of tourist guides and tour leaders.
